Seven Major Components of an Automatic Painting Line

The seven main components of an automatic painting line include: pretreatment equipment, powder spraying system, painting equipment, oven, heat source system, electrical control system, and suspended conveyor chain.

Pretreatment Equipment of the Automatic Painting Line

The spray type multi-station pretreatment unit is commonly used equipment for surface treatment. Its principle is to accelerate the chemical reaction by mechanical flushing to complete processes such as degreasing, phosphating, and rinsing.

The typical process for spray-type pretreatment of steel parts includes: pre-degreasing, degreasing, rinsing, rinsing, surface conditioning, phosphating, rinsing, rinsing, and pure water rinsing. Pretreatment can also use a shot blasting machine, which is suitable for steel parts that are simple in structure, severely rusted, and with no or little oil, with no water pollution.

Powder Spraying System of the Automatic Painting Line

The small cyclone + filter cartridge recovery unit in powder spraying is more advanced and allows for quicker color changes. It is recommended to use imported products for the key parts of the powder spraying system, while the powder spraying chamber and electric mechanical elevator can be made domestically.

Painting Equipment of the Automatic Painting Line

Such as dry-type paint booths and water curtain paint booths, which are widely used in the surface coating of machinery manufacturing, hardware appliances, electrical appliances, lighting fixtures, plastic parts, and large loaders.

Oven of the Automatic Painting Line

The oven is one of the important pieces of equipment in the coating production line, and its temperature uniformity is an important indicator for ensuring coating quality. The heating methods of the oven include radiation, hot air circulation, and radiation + hot air circulation. According to the production program, the ovens can be divided into single-chamber and through-type.

The equipment forms include straight-through and bridge-type. The hot air circulating oven has good insulation, uniform temperature inside the furnace, and low heat loss. Tests show that the temperature difference inside the furnace is less than ±3°C, reaching the performance indicators of similar products in advanced countries.

Heat Source System of the Automatic Painting Line

The hot air circulation system is a commonly used heating method, which uses the principle of convective conduction to heat the oven, achieving the drying and curing of workpieces. The heat source can be selected based on the user's specific situation: electricity, steam, gas, or oil, etc. The location of the heat source box can be determined according to the oven's configuration: located at the top, bottom, or side. If the circulating fan for the heat source is a specially made high-temperature resistant fan, it has the advantages of a long lifespan, low energy consumption, low noise, and small size.

Electrical Control System of the Automatic Painting Line

The electrical control of the coating and coating assembly lines can be centralized or single-column control. Centralized control can use a programmable logic controller (PLC) to control the main machine, automatically controlling each process according to the programmed control procedures, data collection, and monitoring, and alarm.

Single-column control is the most commonly used control method in coating production lines, where each process is controlled individually, and the electrical control box (cabinet) is set near the equipment, which has low cost, intuitive operation, and convenient maintenance.

Suspended Conveyor Chain

The suspended conveyor is the conveying system of the industrial assembly line and the coating line. The accumulating suspended conveyor is used for L=10-14M warehouse shelves and special-shaped street light alloy steel pipe coating lines.

The workpiece is mounted on special fixtures (with a load capacity of 500-600KG), smoothly entering and exiting the track switch. The track switch is electrically controlled to open and close according to the work order, meeting the automatic conveying requirements of the workpiece at each processing station, parallel accumulation cooling in the strong cooling room and unloading area, and equipped with fixture identification and traction alarm shutdown devices in the strong cooling area.
