Main function and working principle

This machine was designed to finish painting works for outer surface of wind power tubular tower covering flange diameter ranging from 2 meters to 6 meters and a taper range within 2.5 meters. The painting works were finished after one loop rotation by a supplementary roller under the tower.

Intelligent and reliable

Four explosion-proof servo motors were chosen for this machine, which makes it Intelligent, reliable and high precision. You just input the target DFT, solid content of the paint material and the size of tubular tower. The Central control system will analyze and process the data and execute programed actions subsequently on the track. Don’t be afraid about the tapering diameter, the machine would adjust the painting parameters accordingly. The machine runs with optimum spraying parameters in order to assure the final coating quality.

Easy to use

One equipment operator and one auxiliary worker was required to manipulate this machine. The equipment operator was responsible for setting the work parameters and monitoring the working status. The auxiliary worker was in charge of mixing paint materials and managing the high-pressure pump system.

High efficiency

The machine was equipped with double high-pressure airless guns with combination spraying widths up to 800 mm which improved the working efficiency greatly. The spraying gun and the paint pump will run without stopping once started. It only takes 15-30 minutes to complete all the painting works for the outer surface according to different DFT specifications.

Quality assurance

The dry film thickness (DFT) and surface appearance of the coating film were controllable through setting the parameters such as: walking speed, spraying nozzle sizes and distances, thinning ratios or fluid pressure etc. The memory function of the machine will remember all the data you have imputed in. Once the optimal parameters were fixed for a project, it will make the subsequent painting works very easy. The final coating films were uniform and without common defects: sagging, excessive high or low DFT, dry spray, pin holes, orange skin, slags and etc. It meets the strict inspection requirements of SSPC SPA2 (90/10 principles) for DFT measurement.

Cost saving

The paint loss factor was 1.4 of the onshore outer wind turbine coating machines versus 1.8 by manual application according to our numerous test data, which decreased the cost deeply while enhancing the final coating quality significantly.

Healthy and environmental protection

The automatic spraying machine reduced the paint consumption and cut the VOC emission accordingly. The automatic spraying machine improved the worker's working conditions and safeguarded the worker's health and prevented occupational disease hazards occurrence.
