Main function

It was designed to finish painting works for internal surface of offshore wind power tubular tower covering a diameter size range from 5.5meters to 8.5meters according to the coating specification automatically, The machine walked from one end to the other in the tubular tower and all the internal painting works was finished accordingly.

Intelligent and reliable

Explosion-proof servo motors were chosen for this machine（walking motor, elevating motor, rotation motor, telescopic motor）, which makes it Intelligent, reliable, high precision. and adjustable. You just input the target DFT, solid content of the paint material and the size of the tubular tower. The computer system will analyze and process the data, then execute programmed actions subsequently. The machine could be remote-controlling or wired-controlling.

Easy to use

This machine needed two people to coordinate the painting works. One equipment operator and one auxiliary worker. The operator set the working parameters before starting and monitors the working status during the working process. The auxiliary worker’s main work was dealing with the paint materials and serving the paint pump to supply the paint to the airless spraying system.

High efficiency

The machine was equipped with double high-pressure airless guns which improved the working efficiency greatly. The rotary spraying gun and the paint supply pump will run without stopping once started. It only takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete all the painting works for internal surface of the tubular tower.

Quality assurance

The dry film thickness (DFT) and surface appearance of the coating film were controllable through setting the parameters such as: walking speed, rotary speed, spraying nozzle sizes, thinning ratio and fluid pressure etc. The memory function of the machine will remember the data you have imputed. Once the optimum parameters are fixed for a project, it will make the subsequent painting works more easily. The final coating films were uniform and without common defects: sagging, excessive high or low DFT, dry spray, pin holes, orange skin, slags and etc. It met strict inspection requirements for offshore engineering such as SSPC SPA2 (90/10 principles) for DFT measurement.

Cost saving

The paint loss factor was 1.2 for the automatic spraying machines versus 1.7 by manual application according to our paint application test data, which decreased the cost deeply while enhancing the final coating quality. An important advantage of this machine was it can apply high solid content paint up to 300um for one layer which can not be done by manual spraying.

Heathy and environmental protection

The automatic spraying machine reduced the paint consumption and cut the VOC emission accordingly. The automatic spraying machine changed the working condition and protect the worker's healthy and prevent occupational disease hazards.
